No pitch, no obligation, and nothing gets booked on this call. We're finding out whether I'm the right person to design your trip.

“Somewhere in Italy, maybe next spring” is a perfectly good place to start. So is “we want to celebrate something and we don't know where.”

01 — how it works

Nothing is committed until you've seen the scope and the fee in writing and said yes to both.

The form

01

Roughly when, who's traveling, and what's drawing you there. It gives me enough to come to the call with something useful rather than a blank page.

The proposal

03

Scope, what's included, and your design fee. Nothing starts until you approve it — and it's a perfectly acceptable outcome to read it and decide not to.

The call

02

We talk about how you like to travel and what you want this trip to feel like. I'll tell you what I'd recommend and whether the timing is realistic.

Three steps, and you can stop after any of them

Mostly I ask,

and you talk.

Not a sales call and not a questionnaire read aloud. I'm listening for the things that decide an itinerary — which are almost never the things people expect to be asked about.

You'll leave with a clear sense of what I'd recommend, whether the timing works, and roughly what it costs.

02 — On the call

How you actually like to travel — pace, how much structure you want, what a good day looks like to you.

Whether it's a celebration, and who else is coming — which changes the design more than the destination does.

What you want to understand about a place, not just what you want to see.

The parts of planning you'd genuinely rather not do yourself.

Timing, and whether your dates and the trip you're describing are compatible.

What it costs, in real numbers, before we hang up.

A destination decided

Firm dates

A researched shortlist

A number in mind

A season, an occasion, or a feeling is enough

03 - before you book

If you've been putting off the call until you've narrowed things down, you have it backwards. Narrowing down is the work.

probably a fit

You've been researching for weeks and the options have crossed from exciting into paralyzing.

You want to understand the places you're going, not just photograph them.

The occasion matters. An anniversary, a milestone birthday, the first time the whole family travels together, and you don't want to get it wrong.

You'd rather spend your weekends on something other than comparing properties.

You have the miles, the vacation days, and the intention, and no plan for turning them into a journey.

04 - fit

I take a limited number of clients at a time, so I'd rather say early on that we're not a match than take a project I can't do well.

probably not a fit

If what you want is the lowest fare on a specific flight or sailing, that's a booking, and you can do it yourself in an afternoon.

05-book the call

The form takes

about three minutes.

It asks roughly when you want to travel, who's coming, and what's drawing you there. "Not sure yet" is a valid answer to all three. It just gives me somewhere to start.

06 — Questions

No. The first conversation is complimentary and there's no obligation attached to it. If we decide to work together, you'll receive a written proposal with the scope and the design fee before anything begins.

Custom itineraries start at $1,200, and Kickstart advisory sessions start at $450. Your exact fee depends on the length of the trip, the number of travelers, and how many moving parts are involved — quoted in writing after we talk, never a surprise.

No, and plenty of clients don't. A season, an occasion, or a feeling is enough to work with. Figuring out the where is part of what you're hiring me for.

Six to twelve months is comfortable for most trips, and further for cruises, holiday travel, and anything involving small ships. If your dates are sooner, ask anyway — sometimes it works, and I'll tell you honestly if it doesn't.

Then I'll say so, and point you somewhere better. That happens a few times a year and it's a good outcome — much better than taking a project I can't do well.

We can start there, but I'd push for the call. Thirty minutes of conversation tells me more about how you travel than a page of written answers, and it saves you the back-and-forth.
